• Mythology Reimagined Art PV – 2-5.00pm

    You are invited to view "Mythology Reimagined", hung on Tues 4 November. 22 Artists explore a striking reinterpretation of myth, folklore and landscape through contemporary photography and video. Curated by Louise Whitham—who has spent over a year at Barnaby’s Lounge establishing a compelling curatorial programme and staging numerous exhibitions—this show delves into the legends of sea, hills, forests and heroes, re-imagining them for our time. As curator, Louise brings her signature blend of experimental media and local engagement—having curated recent themed exhibitions at Barnaby’s and collaborated with regional artists to invite new dialogue around place, story and image. Join us to meet the artists anf film makers and witness the 3 minute film festival screening in association with @photohastings on Saturday 15 November, the exhibition Location: Barnaby’s Lounge, 46 Robertson Street, Hastings TN34 1HL.

    Chris White - Saxes Terry Pack - Bass Nick Smalley - Drums Chris White is a world-class saxophonist and arranger whose career spans collaborations with legends like Paul McCartney, George Benson, Billy Ocean, and Bobby Womack. From 2010, he joined Van Morrison’s band. He’s also shared the stage with Ray Charles

  • Jack Beattie Jazz Trio – 8.30pm

    Jack Beattie has  played with some of the North West’s finest musicians such as Les Bolger (Louis Stewart Quartet), John McCormick (The Spinners, Gary Potter), John Harper (John Williams, Atarah Ben-Tovim), and Paul Leonard (Peter King, Jools Holland). He’s also performed/recorded with many of the UK’s leading Gospel and CCM artists such as Steve Thompson (Dionne Warwick, London Community Gospel Choir), Graham Kendrick, and Geraldine Latty. Mike Stock (bass) studied in Los Angeles with Joel Di Bartolo (Buddy Rich, The Tonight Show, Ernie Watts), Tom Warrington (Buddy Rich, Randy Brecker), and Jeff Berlin (Alan Holdsworth). He went on to perform in multiple situations with the likes of Kenny Jones (The Who), Mike Rutherford (Genesis), and Paul Young (Sad Café). Tony MacDonnell, hailing from Leeds College of music, has worked professionally as a drummer since his formative years. He’s performed with legends such as Johnny Dankworth and Tubby Hayes and continues to work with the Les Paul Big Band

  • Greg Heath Jazz Quartet – 1.30pm

    Greg Heath has worked with a wide range of jazz and popular musicians, including Dr John, Jimmy Cliff, Omar Hakim, Rachael Z, Nile Rogers, Mica Paris, Maceo Parker, Van Morrison and Joan Armatrading After moving to California, pianist John Donaldson worked with  Eddie Henderson, John Handy, Jeff Ballard, Donny McCaslin, Larry Grenadier and Red Holloway to name a few. Back in England he’s worked with Art Themen, Alan Barnes, Norma Winstone, Don Weller, Art Farmer, Steve Grossman, Eric Alexander. He’s also won the best pianist slot at the British Jazz Awards Bassist Simon Thorpe worked in Bheki Mseleku’s band and  has become one the most popular bass players in the country. He’s  worked with numerous artists including Stacey Kent, Bobby Wellins, Alan Barnes and Amy Winehouse. He leads his own 30-40s swing band Jivin Miss Daisy and the electronic improv group Improphonics Joe Edwards - drums

  • Ellie Babies Jazz Trio – 8.30pm

    The Ellie Babies trio - fronted by singer Ellie Laine - play jazz, swing, blues and boogie woogie, combining musicianship with a fun vibe. Their repertoire includes songs by artists ranging from Nina Simone to The Stray Cats and The Beatles.

Andy Twyman's one man band act is a unique blend of deep blues with comedy and rock & roll. The result is a show packed with heart and humour. Andy has found a place as one of the most original acts on the circuit today. His distinct style has been heard and seen at Glastonbury Festival, on BBC Radio 2 and Channel 4. Andy first took to the stage aged 12 in pubs and clubs, with his guitar, voice and harmonica, performing solo and jamming with local musicians including Rory Graham (aka Rag and Bone Man). Before hitting 18, he had gigged as a solo act in top London venues including The Jazz Café and 100 Club. Driven to create a distinctive and exciting act, Andy learnt to play foot operated drums, giving his songs a beat to get people on their feet.
