    Helen Sharpe is a singer known for her work in the jazz, funk, and soul genres, notably writing and providing vocals for the 1991 house/jazz track "Got 2 Have Your Love". She performs with "Helen Sharpe and The Soulshine Band" and the duo "Sharpe and Barker". Her musical style features a fusion of classic vocals with modern beats.

    Lynda Murray Jazz Trio - with Adrian York (pno) and Paul Whitten (db) Lynda Murray - Lynda Murray Band leader, saxophonist/composer has been living in Hastings since 1986. Previously she had been living in London and in 1984 joined the first ever London Community Music project set up by John Stevens (drummer) and John Cummings (Serious). Initially it was called Search and Reflect. She did sit next to a very young and a very talented Courntey Pine the year before his career propelled him to become an international star. Last October Lynda's piano trio played 2 recitals at St James's Church Piccadilly London. They were part of the new Saturday Live programme. Lynda has also been involved in M&G Investments 'Reframing Retirement'. A campaign to change the conversation around retirement. Since the late 80's Lynda has played in many Hastings music venues. One of the most memorable gigs was in 2005 was when her quartet with Paul Whitten (db), Luke Rattenbury (gtr) and the late Dave Trigwell (drms) played the opening set for Courtney Pine at the De La Warr Pavilion.
