“Solly” 4.30pm

Solly is a 22 year-old independent self-taught singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He writes and performs his own music, is both a solo artist and performer, whilst also a member of five-piece funk band, ’Still Royal’. His musical style blends Soul, Jazz and R&B, is characterised by his soulful, expressive vocals, paired with soft keys and the use of guitar; resulting in a deep, rich sound. “Terrarium” – Jazz 8.30pm

Jo Stout played at Brighton Jazz Festival with his own group 'Terrarium'; a 6 piece band playing Jo's own composition's on a 'world jazz' theme. This show will be a five-piece without guitar. Jo Stout has performed all over the UK in venues as diverse as London's O2 Arena, The NEC, The Albert Hall, The Vortex, The Spice of Life, The Blues Kitchen…and Butlins! Since moving back to Hastings he has firmly re established his local musical connections having played with Liane Carroll, Roger Carey, Rob Leake, Terry Pack, Paul Whitten, Stuart Jackaman and of course local jazz hero Barnaby Davies' Big Band. Tom Millar is a London-based pianist, composer and bandleader, playing with Jo Stout’s “Terrarium”, the Andrew Linham Jazz Orchestra, the Matt Sulzmann/Tom Millar quartet, and Way Out West jazz collective as well as with his own projects, from solo to nonet. His music has been heard on BBC Radio 3 and Jazz FM, and he has performed all over the UK and Ireland, as well as in Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Holland, Dubai, Qatar, and the USA. Roy Hilton Jazz Trio 1.30pm

Roy Hilton studied at Leeds College of Music. During a long career in music he worked in Film,TV , radio and stage productions. Jazz was always his first love and he has played with Art Farmer, Sonny Stitt, Teddy Edwards, Howard Alden, Bobby Shew, and many other visiting American musicians. Yvonne Lloyd worked in West End musicals for many years. She then worked in Germany with the Stutz Bear Cats vocal harmony group before settling into a solo career interpreting the American Songbook. Yvonne has worked with many wonderful musicians including Toots Thielemans. Expect to hear Kern, Gershwin, Porter alongside Thelonious Monk and Dave Frishberg

The Midlife Collective 6.30pm

Lizzy Woolley is a Pelvic Health and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with 12 years’ experience working in the NHS and private practice. She specialises in women’s health and many her patients are peri or post-menopausal! The kind of conditions she treats varies from bladder and bowels changes including incontinence, prolapses and pain in and around the pelvis. By taking a holistic approach, she can formulate treatment plans and refer onto other clinicians appropriately whether that be for hormone replacement therapy (HRT) or nutritional advice. In her talk she will discuss the common conditions that she sees in menopause and how to manage them – including some tips and tricks to prevent common symptoms from happening! It will be a relaxed evening with the opportunity to ask questions about a subject that a lot of people don’t like to talk about!
