SUMMARY:Bob Haddrell Organ Trio ~ 8.30pm
DESCRIPTION:There is something timeless about the sound of a Hammond organ trio. \nWarm\, soulful and irresistibly groovy\, the Bob Haddrell Organ Trio brings together three exceptional musicians for an evening of classic jazz\, blues-infused improvisation and swinging rhythms that capture the spirit of the great organ trios of the 1950s and 60s. \nLeading the group is acclaimed keyboard player Bob Haddrell\, a highly respected musician whose expressive Hammond organ playing draws inspiration from legends such as Jimmy Smith\, Larry Young and Joey DeFrancesco while maintaining a distinctive voice of his own. His rich harmonic language\, deep groove and inventive improvisation make him one of the most engaging performers on the South Coast jazz scene. \nJoining him is guitarist Jack Beattie\, an outstanding young talent whose melodic approach\, tasteful phrasing and modern jazz sensibility provide the perfect counterpart to the organ’s warmth and power. \nOn drums is the ever-impressive Tony MacDonnell\, a seasoned performer known for his dynamic touch\, impeccable timing and ability to drive the music while remaining sensitive to every nuance of the ensemble. \nTogether they create the classic organ trio sound: soulful grooves\, bluesy swing\, hard-bop energy and spontaneous musical conversations that can only happen in front of a live audience. \nExpect a repertoire that moves effortlessly between jazz standards\, blues\, Latin grooves and organ-jazz favourites\, delivered with virtuosity\, humour and plenty of room for improvisation. \nWhether you’re a dedicated jazz fan or simply looking for a fantastic Friday night out\, this is live music at its most exciting. \nEnjoy dinner from Powell’s Kitchen\, sample one of our signature cocktails\, and settle in for an evening of world-class live music in Barnaby’s intimate listening-room atmosphere. \nFriday 11th December | 8.30pm\n🎹 Bob Haddrell Organ Trio\n📍 Barnaby’s Lounge\, 46 Robertson Street\, Hastings\n🎶 £6 contribution supports live musicians\n🎤 Karaoke from 11pm until late\n🍽️ Delicious food from Powell’s Kitchen \nArtist Links\n🎹 Bob Haddrell \n\nBob Haddrell Music\nBob Haddrell Facebook\n\n🎸 Jack Beattie \n\nJack Beattie Music\n\n🥁 Tony MacDonnell \n\nTony MacDonnell Musician Profile\n\n“Few jazz formats deliver groove quite like an organ trio.
