Roger Carey & Jim Westlake | Live Jazz in Hastings
Sunday 27 December 2026 | 1.30pm
Bassist Roger Carey, a highly regarded presence on the UK jazz scene, joins harmonica player Jim Westlake for a rare duo performance at Barnaby’s Lounge.
Known for his long-standing musical partnership with vocalist and pianist Liane Carroll, Carey brings a wealth of experience, a deep sense of groove and an instinctive approach to musical interplay. Alongside Westlake’s harmonica, the duo explores the expressive possibilities of contemporary jazz, bringing together lyrical melodies, rhythmic depth and spontaneous improvisation.
Expect an intimate evening of thoughtful musicputianship, rich musical conversation and the freedom of two experienced performers responding to one another in the moment. A distinctive opportunity to hear these musicians in a more stripped-back setting.
Join us at Barnaby’s Lounge for an evening of live jazz in Hastings.
