Situated between the station and the beach in central Hastings, Barnaby’s Lounge occupies a characterful Victorian building spread over two floors, with local artists’ work displayed throughout the space.
Powell’s Kitchen serves a full restaurant menu Tuesday-Sunday, alongside crafted cocktails, local beer, great coffee and a curated wine list. Happy Hour runs 5–7pm Monday to Friday.
We host live jazz every Friday evening and Sunday lunchtime, supported by a £6 per‑person music charge that goes directly to our professional performers.

Barnaby’s Lounge is a relaxed dining and drinks space, with professional live music in a listening‑venue setting. At times when professional live music is scheduled, a £6 music charge applies for guests seated in the performance area downstairs.
Upstairs seating is available for guests not attending the music, whether dining or just joining us for drinks.
Powell’s Kitchen serves a full restaurant menu during service, and you’re welcome to join us for dinner whether or not you’re attending the music. If you have dietary requirements, special requests, or you are not here for the music, please include this in the Special Requests box so our team can seat you appropriately.
